Abdullah Miniawy is an Egyptian expressionist artist, poet, singer, composer, and actor, known for combining politically engaged lyrics with experimental sounds. A leading voice during the Arab Spring, his works address themes related to freedom and society. Winner of the Les Victoires du Jazz award for the project Le Cri du Caire, he has collaborated with artists such as Erik Truffaz. In a trio with trombonists Jules Regard and Jules Boittin, Miniawy presents a project that blends jazz, Middle Eastern soundscapes, and a performative dimension, offering an immersive experience that balances urban tension with spiritual undertones.
